Satish Kaushik, an alumni of prestigious National School of Drama. Though he was studying drama, he was always passionate about cinema from childhood.

He started his career as an actor in the early eighties. Former associate to Shekhar Kapur, he graduated to film directing in a very short span of time and today he is one of the most complete film maker in India . Exploring different genres of films like Roop ki Rani Choron ka Raja, Prem, Hum Aap ke dil mein Rahete hain, Humara Dil Aapke Paas Hai, Mujhe Kuchh Kahena Hai, Badhai ho Badhai, Tere Naam and Vaada , he's had a knack of consistently delivering successes in terms of content & business.

Multi starrers to the new kidult love story, Satish Kaushik has launched & nurtured many a talent in Bollywood like Sanjay Kapoor, Tabu, Tushaar Kapoor & Bhumika Chawla and now it's Ruslaan Mumtaz & Sheena Shahabadi in his forthcoming Teree Sang : A kidult Love Story. If he's respected as a director, acting is what he's absolutely loved and adored for the world over.
